A beautifully unusual vintage knitting pattern from the 1970s, this flared matinee jacket is a real standout in any baby wardrobe. The traditional flared shape features an intricate cable stitch pattern in the skirt — rich, textured and eye-catching — transitioning into smooth stocking stitch for the bodice and long sleeves, with neat ribbed sleeve bands for a polished finish. Worked in one piece to the armholes, with easy raglan sleeves that make dressing and undressing a breeze.

This pattern is printed in large print.

Sizes: 16'' – 18'' – 19'' (41 – 46 – 48 cm), approx. Birth – 6 months and 9 months

Yarn: Quick Knit — DK weight
This pattern was originally written for a quick knit yarn that has since been discontinued. A modern thin DK or standard DK equivalent is the closest substitute — your local craft shop or yarnsub.com can help you find the perfect match.
